Free Income Tax Preparation for Low-Income Families
Once again, Helping Hand has partnered with UWCK to provide free tax preparation for low income families.  The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will begin Tuesday, January 30th and will be held from 6-8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday night until April 17th.

Frugal Meals
Frugal Meals is a great way to express our faith during the Lenten Season, reconnect with friends, and help the less fortunate.  The concept is simple.  Instead of spending money on an expensive meal at a restaurant, prepare a simple meal and invite some friends over to join you.  At the end of the evening, ask everyone to donate the money they would have spent on an expensive meal to Helping Hand of Hope.

USDA Food Distributions
USDA Food Distributions are held every month.
For those living in Elizabethtown or the southern half of Hardin County, the food distribution is held on the Second Saturday of the month from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Methodist Church, 631 North Miles Street, Elizabethtown, KY 
For those living in Radcliff or the northern half of Hardin County, the food distribution is held on the third Wednesday of the month from 9:00 a.m. - Noon at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1225 South Wilson Road, Radcliff, KY

Free Tax Preparation Now Available
Helping Hand of Hope has partnered with United Way of Central Kentucky, the Green River Asset-Building Coalition, and the IRS to provide free income tax preparation for low-income families (households earning less than $54,000 in 2016).  Tax preparation is available at the Helping Hand of Hope offices, 6796 S. Wilson Road, in Elizabethtown on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and beginning February 4th every other Saturday from 9 a.m. - Noon.  For more information, call (270) 769-3092.

Helping Hand of Hope's monthly food Distribution schedule is being revised for this month. Food Distribution for Elizabethtown Area (Pritchard Community Center) pick up will be on Tuesday the 16th of September for the Elizabethtown pick up will be from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Pritchard Community Center. Radcliff (for pick-up at St. Christopher's Church) the pick-up date and time will be September 17th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. For Both locations please remember to bring a photo I.D. and verification of your correct address.
